Winter schedule begins on five regional routes on August 24

The winter schedule will begin on Monday, August 24, on five regional bus routes: routes 50, 51, 52, 53, and 71.

On routes 50, 51, and 71, the number of trips will be reduced outside peak hours. When deciding to reduce the number of trips on these three routes, Vegagerðin (the Icelandic Road and Coastal Administration) considered passenger numbers and how heavily the services are used. There will be no changes to services connected to secondary schools, morning services serving normal working hours and afternoon services when the regular working day ends.
