European mobility week takes place from 16–22 September. This year’s theme is Mobility for Everyone.
The theme is a call to envision and work towards a society where transport services are available, accessible, affordable, safe and inclusive. Choosing public transport, walking or cycling should be a fair option for everyone.
Mobility week is a European awareness-raising campaign to improve transports in cities and towns, and Strætó has participated since the campaign was first launched in Iceland.
A variety of engaging events will be held during the week, including the seminar Diverse Mobility for Everyone, which takes place at 9:00 on 18 September at Reykjavík City Hall. The car-free day will also be held us usual on September 22nd.
