New timetable for route 94 will take effect on Thursday 3 April. This is due to a new flight plan to Höfn since a new operator has taken over the flight. The timetable is valid in April, but there is no flight plan for May yet, the timetable will be updated as soon as the flight plan is available.

Route 93 will run an extra trip on Wednesday in line with Smyril Line´s sailings.
The Wednesday trips will be from March 19th to June 4th.

Note that there will be no service these red days on routes in the Eastfjords 91, 92, 93 and 96. (Please note that routes 91 and 93 will operate as usual on Saturday, April 19).
Route 94 will drive according to Thursday schedule Maundy Thursday and Monday schedule Easter Monday but there will be no service on Good Friday and Easter Sunday.

Strætó's schedule over Easter 2025

The bus stop „Háteigsskóli“ on the way to Eiðistorg on line 11 has been moved a few meters. This is due to roadwork at Háteigsvegur that will be ongoing for few days.

The bus stop by Háteigsskóli has been temporarily moved

During the period of February 19–28, there was a malfunction in Strætó&#8217;s payment processor, which resulted in some contactless payments not being processed. This meant that customers were not charged for all bus rides taken during this period when paying contactless.
Over the weekend, all transactions from this period were charged together in a single payment. For example, if a customer took four bus rides during this period, they may have been charged for 4 × single fares in one transaction.
The usual practice is that all contactless payments are processed together after midnight so that bus rides throughout the day can count towards the cap, if applicable.
We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause.
