The schedule of few rural routes of Strætó will change over the summertime. Routes in the capital area remain unchanged.
South Iceland
Routes 51 and 53
The schedule will change from Friday, 5 June, until Sunday, 23 August due to summer schedule of Herjólfur sailings.
Route 52 will not stop at the FSU bus stop during the summer period, but the timetable will be the same.
Extra trips during „Þjóðhátíð“ on routes 51 and 53 will be announced later.
West Iceland
Route 81
No service from 1 June onwards. The route will be discontinued and will not resume after the summer.
Routes 63, 64 and 65
These routes only drive during school days, and the last day of driving will therefore be 18 May.
Route 59
The trip on Wednesdays will change and the bus will drive all the way to Hólmavík (instead of just to Búðardalur) from 5 June until 30 August.
North Iceland
Route 56
The route will drive every weekday, and on Sundays, from 1 June until 31 August.
Routes 78 and 79
Summer schedule from 1 June to 16 August.
Compared to the winter schedule, the routes will not stop at the following bus stops:
- VMA
- Þórunnarstræti / Sjúkrahús
- Dalsbraut / Klettaborg
The routes will only stop at the bus stop Hof in Akureyri, and the airport, which is the final stop.
Westfjords
Summer schedule from 1 June to 31 August.
The timetable will change throughout the summer. The first timetable will be valid from 1 June to 5 July, the second from 6 July to 14 August, and the final timetable from 15 August to 31 August. The timetables are based on the summer sailing schedule of Baldur.
There will be no service on Route 61, as the route has been discontinued.
East Iceland
Route 94
The summer schedule will be in effect from 1 June to 30 September. During the summer, the route will operate between Breiðdalsvík and Höfn with a stop in Djúpivogur.
