Strætó passengers can now enjoy more accurate real-time arrival information thanks to a system update and improved integration between the platforms that provide real-time data. The same information is now on bus stop displays, in the Klapp app, on the Strætó website, and in Google Maps and Apple Maps.
With this update, arrival predictions take more factors into account than before, including detours that may affect bus journeys. This provides passengers with more accurate and reliable information about when the next bus will arrive.
Improving real-time information is part of Strætó’s ongoing efforts to enhance the passenger experience. Over the past months, several new features have been introduced to make public transport more accessible and reliable. Passengers can now also pay for their journeys contactless on board using a payment card, Google Pay or Apple Pay, and plan their trips using popular navigation apps such as Google Maps and Apple Maps.
